In 2010, Stand Up To Cancer returned with a live, one-hour fundraising event dedicated to accelerating innovative cancer research.

Actors, musicians, athletes, and journalists joined Katie Couric, Diane Sawyer, and Brian Williams for a commercial-free broadcast carried across ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, and a wide range of cable networks. Airing in 195 countries, the program honored the 12 million cancer survivors in the United States and reinforced how research can change the course of the disease.

Continuing the momentum of the 2008 telecast, which raised more than $100 million, the special championed cutting-edge research designed to reach patients quickly and meaningfully.

Christina Applegate, a breast cancer survivor, wore the Tree of Life pendant she designed with Alex Woo. Through Right Action for Women, she has helped people at increased risk for breast cancer access lifesaving screenings when financial barriers stand in the way.
