Chris Martin of Coldplay is on the cover of this month's Rolling Stone and in the revealing interview he talks about about always being the underdog despite their rise to one of the biggest rock acts of the decade.  "You've got to be hungry," he says. "If your wife went out with Brad Pitt, you'd want to prove yourself, you know what I mean?"
What was the first music you responded to as a kid? Probably Bad, by Michael Jackson, and "Take on Me," by A-ha. And then we'd always be in church, so the thing I heard most was hymns. That's probably where all the life-and-death stuff in our music comes from.
In the Beauty and the Beast feature, American bluegrass-country singer and fiddler Allison Krauss is wearing Alex Woo's Little Princess Star.  During her career she has won 26 Grammy Awards, making her the most awarded female artist (and the third most awarded artist overall) in Grammy history.  A star has never been more deserving...
