New York Post - All That Glitters!

New York Post November 2006

By SERENA FRENCH Post Fashion Editor IT'S a golden moment in jewelry. In happy news, bling (sequins and beading and rhinestones, oh my) has moved off clothing, replaced by classic accessories that carry both investment and sentimental value. Precious is in style - gold, as opposed to silver - both with stones, or shining on its own. No adornment is left out in the cold. Rings and bracelets have gotten bigger - a cocktail ring as big as your first joint and cuffs or bangles up the arm are de rigueur - while necklaces have become smaller, but are now worn in multiples. An earring with a drop, be it chandelier or a duster, is still hanging on as a trend, and even hair is getting dressed up with its very own jewelry box. Shine on. In the main photo, she's wearing: Alex Woo's Narissa 14K gold vermeil cuff, $548, at alexwoo.com
