The Siri Collection

In Thai temples distinctive bells hang gently along the perimeters as sacred symbols. Inside, visitors purchase the shining bells as a contribution to the temple and their names are engraved carefully on the sculpted lotus flower that dangles from each bell. When the kind spirited contributions accumulate, the bells are melted slowly and cast into a large polished Buddha. The Buddha is then donated to a temple where he makes his home, carefully guarding each wish and prayer that brought him to life. From this benevolent faith in good fortune, Alex Woo conceived “Siri”, meaning luck and fortune, casting the superstitious spirit of the Thai people in solid bell-shaped earrings and pendants inspired by the authentic bells that adorn Thai temples. The smooth sculpting of each solid bell channels ancient Thai architecture, the slope of the temple roof coming to a distinct point at the sacred spire, the heavy hot metal of the holy bells gleaming in the Thai sun.

According to Thai superstition, each day has a companion color that will bring the wearer special luck. The Siri collection delicately hangs gemstone drops of the blessed colors against curved lotus leaves, the symbol of eternal beauty and prosperity. The result is both spiritual and worldly, a delicate emblem of luck and fortune.
