In the Mix Flower Power July 2008 By Sophia Chabbott
Alex Woo is banking that retailers will give peace a chance. The New York based jeweler is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the peace sign with a collection of pendants. "Its a symbol that's instantly recognizable," says Woo, who is known for her initial and symbol charms. "It's got a hippie quality to it, but it's still really chic." The peace sign pendants are done in Woo's signature style in which the chain goes through the actual charm, not on a bail. Retail prices for the line start at $150 for a simple silver style and go up to $1,000 for a diamond-laden piece.
