British soul singer and songwriter’s new album “Introducing Joss Stone” — a mix of warm vintage soul, ’70s-style R&B, Motown girl-group harmonies, and hip-hop grooves, will be released by Virgin Records on March 20th.
In the debut single “Tell Me ‘Bout it’” she can be seen wearing Alex Woo’s Sienna Cuff and Narissa earrings in the video to highlight her brave new look. With four Grammy nominations, this will be her third album. Her first two albums, 2003′s “The Soul Sessions” and 2005′s “Mind, Body & Soul” collectively sold 7.5 million copies but the 19-year-old Stone says “It’s the first album that is truly me… These are my words, and this is who I am as an artist.”
With her first proper tour in nearly three years, the star will be showcasing tracks from her latest album produced largely by Stone’s main musical collaborator, Raphael Saadiq (The Roots, Macy Gray). With lyrics written or co-written by Stone herself, the album also features contributions from Fugees singer Lauryn Hill and rapper Common.

On the cover this month, singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow shows that you can be both strong and sweet. Having battled cancer and experienced heartbreak, all in the public eye, this Southern musician proved at the Self New York City photo shoot she is still true to her down-home roots. An example of this came when she chatted about living part-time in Nashville where she rides her horse every day. In the photo, Sheryl Crow mixes metals and textures and wears Alex Woo’s Sienna Luxe Bangles to amazing grace.
Join her and Laurie David on their “Stop Global Warming College Tour” Starting Monday, April 9th, she will visit 12 cities across the Southeastern United States in a bio-diesel bus to motivate college students to become part of the movement to stop global warming and demand solutions from themselves, their schools and their country.
In this issue of More, Paula Zahn and Amy Rosenblum are both wearing Alex Woo’s Sienna Bangles.
Paula Zahn is anchor for CNN’s weeknight primetime evening program, Paula Zahn Now, an issues-driven program offering live newsmaker interviews and meaningful discussion and analysis from an exclusive roster of contributors. Fun fact: Zahn is an experienced cellist who began playing when she was 5, and made her Carnegie Hall debut in 1992 performing with the New York Pops orchestra. She earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Stephens College in Columbia, Mo., attending on a cello scholarship.
Amy Rosenblum, Senior Producer of the Today Show, was born on July 21, in Lawrence, Long Island. She attended Lawrence High School, where she dated future shoe designer Steve Madden. Fun quote: “I love fashion and I buy what I love, when I see it — because who knows when I’ll get out of the office again?”
In this month’s glossy Gotham magazine, the “queen of prime-time” Mariska Hargitay has been “Walking on Sunshine” Last year, the 43-year-old actress won an Emmy for her role as Detective Olivia Benson on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, signed a blockbuster two-year deal to remain on the show, and on June 28th, gave birth to son August Miklos Friedrich Hermann, her first child with her husband of two years, actor Peter Hermann.
In the exclusive interview with amazing photos, Mariska humbly says “I think the most important thing is to understand that everyone is the same. Everyone deserves to be treated respectfully. Sometimes celebrities are treated as though they’re special, but I think it’s important for kids to understand that it’s temporary, that you should never, ever, ever, ever take it for granted, and that you should give back as much as you get.” In the photograph, she is wearing the solid gold Sienna stick earrings.
Style File: How to Wear… Stripes
Hot off a Golden Globe Best Actress nomination for her role in the glossy, glistening and energizing adaptation of the 1981 Broadway musical, Beyoncé Knowles is getting rave reviews and we can’t wait to see her on the red carpet.
In the January issue, the singer/actress admits she lost her cool when she found herself in the same spot as Miss Diana Ross (the rumored inspiration for her lead singer character). “I was terrified,” the star said. “Then she tapped me on the shoulder and told me that she was glad that I was doing Dreamgirls.”

All that glitters is, in fact, not gold. Here’s how to tell platinum from palladium and get the most out of your jewelry dollars.
Even if you barely know a karat from a carrot, that shouldn’t stop you from acquiring a shiny new bauble (or two). To get what you pay for, however, it helps to know a bit of jewelry jargon. For instance, what’s the difference between 24- and 14-karat gold? And what’s so “sterling” about sterling silver? Industry pros and top jewelry designers answer common questions about precious metals and compare the merits of the most popular types. Now you can be sure that your jewelry purchases are worth their weight in — well, you know.
In the feature story, Alex Woo’s Sienna rings and circle necklace are shown, along with the white gold Narissa earrings as examples of quality jewelry.

Some of us have always worn diamonds during the day; and we’re not about to stop — even if we’re wearing them with hoodies and yoga pants. “Jewelry is to be enjoyed, and not locked away,” says designer Temple St. Clair, 46, who wears her own diamond necklace with tees and jeans. “I’ve seen a huge increase in the number of women buying jewelry for themselves, and they tell me they like the bigger, bolder pieces. Well our forties and fifties are a very confident time. We want what we want.” Amen to that.
In this jewelry feature called “Diamonds Du Jour” Alex Woo’s Sienna cuff is featured alongside other designer pieces featuring diamonds.
In this month’s “Hollywood” issue of Elle magazine, Paula Patton, is recognized as one of the Hollywood It Girls – Sexy, Intelligent, and Worldly. Age 30, she hails from Los Angeles and you’ve seen her in a small, but memorable role opposite Will Smith. This fall she will be in a film playing Denzel Washington’s love interest in the upcoming film Deja Vu. She says working with him “was like going to actor grad school, like watching someone run down the rabbit hole and become someone else. You are free-falling to keep up with him.”
In the photo, by the exceptionally talented photographer Gilles Bensimon, she is wearing an embroidered silk camisole top by Stella McCartney and Alex Woo’s gold Sienna bangles with diamonds. Patton self admittingly reveals she is not a member of the dressed-down L.A. tribe. “I like to be a bit sophisticated.”
Jewelery designer Alex Woo clearly understands how to create luxury at it’s finest. All of her pieces are refined and classic but with a modern twist, which makes her collections stand apart from others.
The Eve necklace in 14-karat gold and diamonds is a perfect example of the beautifully refined yet modern accented piece that Woo designs. The necklace looks great with some gold bangles, like the Alex Woo Sienna bangles that are shown here.
Autumn Rapture. Balls, fetes, galas — ah, the social swirl.
With a cotton and silk dress and herringbone jacket, both by Ralph Lauren Blue Label and teck sandals by Louis Vuitton, Alex Woo’s Sienna bangles add the final touch of class to a stunning wardrobe.

He puts one foot in front of the other.”

On TV more than the ball, her boyfriend, James Blake, made a run at the U.S. Open and was an All American from Harvard University. So what are the duties of a full-time girlfriend of a tennis pro? Jennifer responds “Basically, it’s travelling with James. I just graduated so it’s nice to take a little time off. I keep telling myself it’s OK to not have a real job yet.” In the photo, Jennifer wears Alex Woo’s Sienna dangling stick earrings for “maximum” exposure.
