Actress Rachel Bilson stars as Zoe Hart in the CW’s new series “Hart of Dixie,” a fish-out-of-water story about a New York City doctor adjusting to life in a small Southern town after she inherits a local medical practice. As a fast-talking New Yorker, she aspires to be like her father and become a cardio-thoracic surgeon, but when her dreams fall apart after four years of residency at a New York hospital, Zoe takes up an offer work in a small medical practice in the town of Bluebell, Alabama. She decides to become a general practitioner for a year and look after patients as “people to help, not puzzles to solve.”
Created by The OC and Gossip Girl team, the show definitely has some of the same witty one-liners and eye-candy that helped propel the other shows to success. In the “Faith & Infidelity” episode, Rachel wears Alex Woo’s Sienna earrings.

When you face your closet in the morning, you tend to reach for familiar friends: the black pants that go with everything, the flats that feel like slippers, and the well-worn tote bag. There’s nothing bad about sticking with what works (you’re running late afterall). But what if-deep breath-you slipped on some fuchia shoes instead? Upgrading your accessories can instantly make an old outfit new. On the following pages, you’ll find 64 options to choose from, including candy-colored bags and scarves that dress up any white shirt, plus reliable basics to create a foundation. As the saying goes: Make new friends, but keep the old; one is silver and the other gold (or, in this case, fuchia).
Even the gold standard gets dull. Investing in a traditional piece? Choose one with subtle twists to keep it interesting. Then, when you really want to shine, slip on one or two of these knockouts.

Brass and bronze, two metal options that date back to ancient times, are revamped by today’s designers. They are also reworking copper and gunmetal. The result: gutsy statement pieces that bring together fine and fashion jewelry in one look. Take this perfect example from Alex Woo.
Plain geometry is shown with an unexpected twist in the cool tonal play of gunmetal and diamonds. Both the pendant and hoop earring are designed with a subtle styling for an easy-going, elegant look.

What color goes with everything and never goes out of style? Think gray, this season’s easiest neutral.
In the world of color personality, red is thought of as dynamic, yellow as perpetually cheery, orange as stimulating. But gray? Gray is “dull” and “wishy-washy.” And that’s a bum rap. In truth, gray is a wonder color, so unexpected that even a bit of it breathes life into an ensemble. It’s incredibly versatile, making other neutrals look modern and rich, and softening summer brights so they’re wearable when the season calls for something more toned down. Plus, a broad range of shades makes it easy to find one that flatters you. Now, can you say any of that about orange?
In the photo, a wool-blend pullover in dark gray is double knit, so it offers durability along with a shapely drape. Wear it with sleek black trousers for extra polish and Alex Woo’s Sienna Hoop Earrings.

Summer 2008
Sometimes you hear a melody that’ll make you smile or a voice so enchanting it’ll melt your heart. In the case of Priscilla Ahn, the newest most talked-about “folk-pop ” artist, both scenarios apply. Born Priscilla Natalie Hartranft in 1984 from a small town in Pennsylvania, the singer has been slowly building a devoted following over the last few years.
Currently, based in Los Angeles her album A Good Day (featuring “Dream”) came out this summer on Blue Note Records (the folks who brought you Norah Jones) and was critically supported. Having been featured on the soundtrack for Grey’s Anatomy and on the Late Show to David Letterman, her songs where she at times play both guitar and harmonica are intimate and soulful.

You are expected to conform to every single expectation. People will say, ‘Try as hard as you can not to sweat on the red carpet.’ Meanwhile you are super nervous, and there are tons of camera flashes, and people are screaming your name. It’s not fun—not for me, at least!”
In the Glamour Get feature, the editors provide a new way to spice up your go-to timepiece by simply layering it with a bracelet or two in “Take your watch, add a bangle” Matched up with the Switch watchmaker Tissot, Alex Woo’s Sienna Rose Gold diamond bangle stands out.
