We would have to agree with the Summer Issue of The Knot, everything is looking quite rosy! We get a sneak peek of some stunning summer jewels in Rose Gold and the Narissa Crescent and Little Vegas Cherries were part of this dazzling story.
“Rose Gold is hot for baubles right now, and it’s not hard to see why. The rosy metal complements almost any skin tone, plus you’ll get quality and durability similar to white or yellow gold, only with a more feminine finish.”
What a lot of us who love this metaldon’t realize is that the meaning of this metal is a bit more sentimental: It means love. The color of these pieces adds just the right touch to their delicate designs.
As the co-host of the QVC-sponsored OCRF bash in Water Mill, N.Y., the star stands out in a dramatic asymmetrical zebra-print dress, sky-high wedges, Alex Woo necklace and an armful of golden bangles.
What do you think of her look? At the last count, 68% of the viewers on People thought this was a hit!
Every Saturday is great in the Hamptons, but each year there is one that stands out. It is Super Saturday and it is the 14th annual fund-raiser sale benefiting the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. Hosted by Kelly Ripa, Donna Karan, InStyle magazine and actress Emma Roberts it is the luxury garage sale no one wants to miss — with discount designer goods from more than 200 designers, including Jimmy Choo, Diane von Furstenberg and Alex Woo.
This year, Kelly Ripa proved again how amazing she is, by hosting the event and helping promote it regularly both on and off camera. As a mom of 3, she is a personal role model for the millions that watch her regularly on Live! with Regis & Kelly. Today, she also wore Alex Woo’s Little Vegas Gold Cherries.
At the event were also many supporters of the event including the multi-talented and sweet Abigail Breslin. Check out her band CABB!
Brides everywhere fell for Amanda Seyfried as Sophie in the film Mamma Mia! With her ethereal gown and, of course, that hair she and Meryl Streep lead an all-star cast in the feature-film adaptation of the beloved musical that has been seen by more than 30 million people in 170 cities and 8 languages around the world. Bringing the timeless lyrics and melodies of iconic super group ABBA to movie audiences, Summer 2008 was the season for Mamma Mia!
With her notable roles in film and television, Amanda Seyfried has quickly captured the attention of audiences and established herself as a breakout star. Next month on February 5th, she will star in Dear John, a new film based on the novel from Nicholas Sparks, best-selling author of The Notebook. Recently, she was also in the film Jennifer’s Body written by Diablo Cody (Juno) but won critical praise for her starring role in HBO’s Golden Globe Award-nominated drama Big Love.
The Pennsylvania native started her career with modeling at the age of 11. Seyfried soon turned to acting and landed her first role in the soaps with As the World Turns and then in All My Children. However, her breakout role was in the Alex Woo favorite Mean Girls, the Lorne Michaels-Tina Fey hit in which she co-starred with Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams. They won the Best On-Screen Team Award at the MTV Movie Awards the year it launched in 2004.
In the wedding icon feature? Alex Woo’s Little Vegas Diamond. A hint of gold highlights the décolletage!

We love N.Y.C. designer Alex Woo’s pieces, and so do the stars. Roberts wore Lucia earrings in sterling silver with a tailored blazer. Also in 14kt yellow, white, and rose gold.
What a great episode tonight of Gossip Girl. With guest stars from singer and actress Hilary Duff joining to start some drama on the Upper East Side for a multi-episode arc, to talk show host Tyra Banks and guest spots for designer Tory Burch and English fashion designer and actress Georgina Chapman of Marchesa, it was truly memorable. Memorable also for the number of Alex Woo jewelry that was featured.
Dan de Fleurette Episode Synopsis

Plus, a famous movie actress, Olivia Burke (Hilary Duff), enrolls at NYU in hopes of having a somewhat normal college experience, and is assigned to be Vanessa’s roommate. Several of Alex Woo’s designs from her Vegas collection are featured on the Nautical by Nature blog. Dedicated to shopping and “all things preppy” Kate usually features various nautical and sea themes such as anchors and seahorses, but highlights the Spade earrings, Diamond pendant, Club pendant, Spade pendant and Vegas rings.
The pieces are clean, modern and sleek and are the perfect accessories for any outfit and has been also featured in the New York Times as one of the “hottest accessory for the bikini-wearing set. Worn on sand or in surf…”
While the first week of September used to give us back-to-school jitters (new teachers, pop quizzes and term papers—oh my!) we can proudly say that we have outgrown this trepidation. Instead, this time of the year is now filled with unbridled anticipation for the kick off of the international fashion weeks and wearing our best fall pieces. Of course, until the festivities begin and the weather allows us to try out our new slouchy coats and thigh-high boots, we have kept ourselves busy tracking down every publicist and studying our collection of look books to answer your most asked-after outfit queries for today’s installment of What Was She Wearing: Answers! on Who What Wear. Though we no longer get report cards, we do think we have gathered a truly A + quartet of girls whose outfits are as instructive as they are inspiring!
Whether dressed up as her Gossip Girl character Jenny Humphrey or just playing the part of a fashion plate, Taylor Momsen always grabs our readers’ attention with her singular style! Spotted filming in Brooklyn’s Botanical Gardens, Momsen wowed in a stunning plum Draped Front Mini Dress from Elie Saab’s S/S 09 collection—try See by Chloe’s Bow Drop Waist Dress ($395) for another lovely and feminine frock! Though she was wearing a highly covetable pair of Elizabeth and James’ Elastic Wedge Sandals ($325), we also uncovered Topshop’s Wren Multi Strap Wedges ($135) for a look-a-like version. Finally, don’t forget to shield your eyes with a classic pair of Ray-Ban Aviator Sunglasses ($129) and layer a few delicate necklaces from Momsen-favorite Alex Woo’s Little Vegas and Sweni collections, for a little girly flair.
As seen in People Magazine and in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, the Little Vegas Collection brings the excitement and the thrill of Las Vegas right to you. The spade is one of the four suits in a deck of cards, whose symbol is shaped like an inverted valentine with a stem. Wear it alone or layer it with your lucky number like Drew Barrymore and Molly Sims do with their favorite Alex Woo Little Number 7 pendant.
The Little Big Vegas pendants are solid Sterling Silver, hand sculpted, and stamped for authenticity. Each pendant hangs on a delicate diamond-cut Sterling Silver heavy chain. Also available in a smaller pendant.
Behind the scenes on Season 3 of Gossip Girl, Taylor Momsen wears Alex Woo’s Sweni Necklace and Little Vegas Spade.
Gossip Girl returns this fall and it looks to be more delicious than ever! Premiering September 14th, the show follows the Upper East Siders to college and Blair, Dan, Georgina and Vanessa are all enrolled in NYU while Serena goes to Brown. Chuck runs his family’s business and Nate goes to Columbia University. As one of the big winners at the 11th annual Teen Choice Awards last month, Leighton Meester and Chace Crawford won Choice TV Drama Actress and Actor respectively while the series itself was voted as the best drama. Ed Westwick even got his share of victory, taking home the Choice Villain category so the show really is as they promote ‘WTF’ – Watch this Fall!
At Alex Woo, we can’t wait for our favorite characters and check out their latest wardrobe. However, we already got the scoop in the upcoming season Taylor Momsen is wearing the silver Sweni, and gold Vegas Spade and Club pendants and Leighton Meester is spotted in this stirring photo kissing Ed Westwick wearing the Little Big Vegas Spade.

For the Beach, an Atoll of Necklaces
By ELLEN TIEN
“AS SPRING BREAK APPROACHES, the heavy metal of winter is temporarily being replaced by beach necklaces, delicate pendant necklaces that are the season’s hottest accessory for the bikini-wearing set. Worn on sand or in surf, the minibaubles usually have meaningful charms (inspirational engravings or lucky symbols) and are often studded with pavé diamonds.” Among the coolest items is Alex Woo’s jewelry.
“For those who prefer the luxurious over the spiritual, Alex Woo’s Vegas collection threads silver, gold or diamond-studded pendants on a sparkling ball-chain and exudes style in spades, not to mention hearts, clubs and diamonds.”

Molly Sims: Famous for being one of the hottest runway models, her photos have glistened in Victoria’s Secret, SI swimsuit issues and countless advertising campaigns for a long time. Known for being both intelligent as well as beautiful, she hosted MTV’s House of Style and in 2003, she joined the cast of NBC’s fast-paced and sexy drama Las Vegas in the role of Delinda Deline. Having also been in “Maxim’s Hot 100,” and finished a role in an indie called “Venus and Vegas,” it is only appropriate that she proudly wears Alex Woo’s Vegas Collection in Sin City for her photoshoots. Wearing both a “lucky 7″ from the Little Numbers Collection and a “spade” in many of the photos, what can anyone say but we’re happy she switched from being a lawyer to pursue a modeling career.
Marisa Miller: With a face that has graced the cover of magazines like Vogue, Fitness and Shape, it’s no wonder SI called her back for the 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006 Swimsuit Editions. Born New Years Day in 1980 in the coastal city of Santa Cruz, California, she still says “The first thing I do every morning is go online to check the surf. If the waves are good, I’ll go surf. The beach is 10 minutes away.” In many of the photos, she is seen wearing Alex Woo’s Little Season’s Daisy Pendant.
Mallory Snyder: First spotted in MTV’s Real World in Paris 2003, this 5’11″ soccer athlete was born Jan. 7, 1984 and silenced all the dissenters with multiple appearences in Sports Illustrated and a clear sense of ambition. In several of the photos from her winter shoot in Huahine, Tahiti, she is wearing Alex Woo’s Daisy Pendant.
Alex Woo immortalizes Vegas with diamonds and gold
By Jennifer Henry
Luck is the four-letter word here. Just like Andrew Dice Clay’s favorite expletive, it too has its ups and downs. Good luck led a lost Rafael Rivera to an undiscovered oasis on the meadows of the Las Vegas Valley back in 1829. Bad luck exposed the unflattering late-night snapshots of your favorite celebutante’s drunken, quickie nuptials and post-party annulment.
We’re built on that unpredictable foundation and though everyone knows the house always wins in the end, adventure can be found in the thrill of risk and the possibility of reward for your wager. Lately, it seems everyone is trying their luck here. Vegas themes abound in every genre, film and TV have made the most of our colorful setting, the music industry has found its new Sodom and Gomorrah, and even high fashion is hot on Sin City references.
Alex Woo, it-girl jeweler for the fashion-forward, placed her bets on Vegasmania with her newest collection of super-sleek and chic charms. Her Vegas collection uses playing-card suits, crafted in her signature style: simple, subtle and enticing.
Vegas features clubs, diamonds, hearts and spades in silver, yellow gold, and best of all, white gold with diamonds. According to Woo, she crafts her designs to include “that exciting spark of what’s hot” without sacrificing the timeless quality that has brought her brand acclaim. The 30-year-old designer bet her handcrafted charms would embody the spirit of Las Vegas. A native New Yorker and a world traveler, she says of our dazzling city: “I thought that it captured the excitement of Times Square, but was just so much glitzier.”
Her collection of mini-pendants has already proved promising, catching the eye of trendsetting starlets such as Drew Barrymore, who layers Woo’s spade pendant with a “7″ in diamonds from her famed Little Numbers collection.
Dedicated to promoting personalized accessories, Woo delights in the intimate connection her collectors have with each piece. She cites the “great inspiration” she derives from knowing that she has “touched their lives in some small way” and hopes that “these lucky charms can make someone’s life a little better, a little happier, and even a little luckier.”
Ice Accessories, in Caesars Forum Shops, will be the first to offer Vegas in Las Vegas. As for lucky charms, I’ll take mine in diamonds.

Star Celeb Dream Item of the Week
“Drew Barrymore has Alex Woo’s diamond “7″ and gold-spade pendants company reps tell Star!”
In fact, the hollywood heavy hitting heiress, actress and producer Drew Barrymore has actually used Alex Woo’s jewelry in her blockbuster film “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle” (2003). In the movie, two of the angels can be spotted wearing Alex Woo’s jewelry and Alex Woo ran a promotional contest “Who Wore Woo?” in support of the three women detectives, Natalie (Cameron Diaz), Dylan (Drew Barrymore) and Alex (Lucy Liu), that employed martial arts, tech skills, and sex appeal to overcome their suspects.
Is it a fluke that Drew Barrymore and Lindsay Lohan own necklaces from Alex Woo’s Vegas collection — or does it have to do with luck? Both. The actresses are currently working on films with “luck” in the title. Barrymore, who has a spade chain, just finished filming Lucky You, and Lohan, who wears a club pendant, is awaiting the release of her new movie Just My Luck. Coincidence? As a matter of fact, yes….
One of Atlanta’s most prominent lifestyle magazine for sophisticated, affluent & professional consumers, Jezebel this month features Cole Hauser on the cover. A descendent of the Warner Brothers empire, this actor is living up to his family’s reputation and is best known for his role in Paparazzi. Similar to Alex Woo’s love for travel, Hauser admits “I feel like you can learn how to act in acting class and you can learn things in school, but the best education there is, in my opinion, is travel…”
In the fashion section, Alex Woo’s latest collection are singled out. “Celebrating the fascination for the hip, hot and vibrant Sin City, The “Vegas” collection from jewelry designer Alex Woo is lighting up the fashion scene. The line consists of small playing card icons elegantly sculpted in solid silver, 14 kt gold or diamonds. Put your money on one of these hot little numbers for the fall; it’s a sure bet. Prices range from $98 – $388, available at Potpourri or through alexwoo.com.”
