PopSugar: Eric Daman Gives Us a Tour of Young Carrie Bradshaw’s Closet

Eric Daman is best known for his work outfitting the Upper East Siders on Gossip Girl, and now, he’s risen to the challenge of outfitting a young Carrie Bradshaw in the new CW series The Carrie Diaries. This isn’t Eric’s first encounter with the character of Carrie — he worked with Patricia Field on the original Sex and the City! Private Practice – Apron Strings

Private Practice, an award-winning American medical drama returned to ABC with a new episode called “Apron Strings” (Season 6 / Episode 6) that turned out to be the best in the season so far.

Addison’s (Kate Walsh) role as a parent is challenged when Henry’s biological mother Judi asks to be involved in his life. Eventually she realizes after a heartbreaking secret is revealed from her mentor, Vivian, that Judi should always play a role in Henry’s world and she would always be welcome.

The moment when Addison and Judi reach this agreement is shared through a gift of a Little Letter Gold H. It was touching and had us all glued to our seat.

Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve

This was also the 40th anniversary of the legendary show that broadcasts live from Times Square in New York City, Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. Co-host, Jenny McCarthy, shined in Alex Woo’s Large Gold Zhuli Hoop Earrings alongside Ryan Seacrest as Lady Gaga headlined the event.

Hart of Dixie – Rachel Bilson

Actress Rachel Bilson stars as Zoe Hart in the CW’s new series “Hart of Dixie,” a fish-out-of-water story about a New York City doctor adjusting to life in a small Southern town after she inherits a local medical practice. As a fast-talking New Yorker, she aspires to be like her father and become a cardio-thoracic surgeon, but when her dreams fall apart after four years of residency at a New York hospital, Zoe takes up an offer work in a small medical practice in the town of Bluebell, Alabama. She decides to become a general practitioner for a year and look after patients as “people to help, not puzzles to solve.”

Created by The OC and Gossip Girl team, the show definitely has some of the same witty one-liners and eye-candy that helped propel the other shows to success. In the “Faith & Infidelity” episode, Rachel wears Alex Woo’s Sienna earrings.

Rachel Bilson Background
Rachel Bilson is enjoying a successful and continually developing acting career on both big and small screens. In addition to her new television series, she also recently wrapped the independent film “L!fe Happens,” with Kate Bosworth, as well as the independent comedy “The To Do List,” opposite Bill Hader and Scott Porter.

The Back-up Plan is a comedy that explores dating, love, marriage, and family “in reverse”. Starring Jennifer Lopez as Zoe, a dog store owner, who after years of dating commits to become a mother on her own. However, that very same day she receives artificial insemination, she also meets a man of real possibilities [Alex O’Loughlin] and a budding relationship goes into a nine-month hyper-drive.

In the film, Danneel Harris, known for her role on One Tree Hill, plays Olivia, J.Lo’s nemesis. Danneel recalls “I play the nemesis to J.Lo… that was interesting, the first day I met her I had to call her like fat”

American Idol – Mentor Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus must think American Idol and Alex Woo jewelry work well together. The last time, she was on American Idol it was for their star-studded blockbuster charity event where she wore Alex Woo’s Little Star and Little Note.

This time, the teen pop sensation came to serve as the contestants’ first guest mentor of the season and wore Alex Woo’s Vida Cuff during her own performance “When I Look at You”. The song is from Miley’s upcoming movie “The Last Song,” which comes out on March 31st.

Prior to her strong performance and display of talent on the piano, she coached the 11 remaining competitors as they prepared to sing their pick from a list of every number one single in Billboard Hot 100 history and gave a few words of encouragement (and advice) to the contestants.

Mixing compliments with suggestions on how to make the performances better, the below are a few her more interesting comments.

Tim Urban - ”I would give you two thumbs up. I think you rock. It’s not the personality he’s lacking. It’s just adding riffs or switching it up somehow.”

Lee Dewyze - ”Lee, I think, has an amazing voice. The only thing that is lacking sometimes is his stage presence. Give them a few notes they wouldn’t expect from you.”

Gossip Girl - How to Succeed in Bassness Another solid night of drama from Gossip Girl. In need of publicity for his new hotel, Chuck (Ed Westwick) decides to move up his club’s opening and enlists Serena’s (Blake Lively) help to get the word out to her celebrity clients. Feeling left out of the planning, Blair (Leighton Meester) attempts to win Chuck’s approval by secretly helping him with a problem concerning opening night. Dan (Penn Badgley) is unnerved when he finally watches one of Olivia’s (guest star Hilary Huff) infamous sex scenes with co-star and real-life boyfriend at the time, Patrick Robinson (guest star Simon Miller). Jenny (Taylor Momsen) is forced to choose between her relationship with Eric (Connor Paolo) and her new role as Queen Bee. Throughout the episode, she wears Alex Woo’s Little Luck Elephant in Gold.

Gossip Girl – Dan de Fleurette

Gossip Girl - Season 3 - Dan de Fleurette What a great episode tonight of Gossip Girl. With guest stars from singer and actress Hilary Duff joining to start some drama on the Upper East Side for a multi-episode arc, to talk show host Tyra Banks and guest spots for designer Tory Burch and English fashion designer and actress Georgina Chapman of Marchesa, it was truly memorable. Memorable also for the number of Alex Woo jewelry that was featured.

Dan de Fleurette Episode Synopsis
It’s the first day of school at Constance Billard which means it’s also time for Jenny to take her rightful place as the new Queen Bee. Unfortunately for Jenny, Blair is more than happy to intervene when news reaches her that she may be needed back at Constance.

Meanwhile, Lily returns home to Rufus and her family to find that things are definitely not as she left them. Plus, a famous movie actress, Olivia Burke (Hilary Duff), enrolls at NYU in hopes of having a somewhat normal college experience, and is assigned to be Vanessa’s roommate. Guest star Tyra Banks appears as Ursula, an actress co-starring in Olivia’s movie and someone who Serena befriends.

Jenny wears Alex Woo’s Little Vegas Gold Spade and her followers each wear the Little Numbers 1, 2, and 3.

Julia Roberts in Eat Pray Love

Hoping to strike box office gold, Julia Roberts has taken on the best-selling memoir by Elizabeth Gilbert, Eat, Pray, Love and has wrapped up the New York City scenes.

In the film, she plays Elizabeth on an around the world journey of finding balance and searching for ‘everything’ across Italy, India, and Indonesia. At 32 years old, Gilbert was educated, had a home and a husband, and successful career as a writer. However, she was depressed with her marriage, and often spending the night crying on her bathroom floor. This memoir chronicles the author’s trip and what she discovers during her travels.

As of February 2010, the book had remained on the New York Times Best Seller list for 158 weeks.

Fun Fact: In the film, Julia Roberts can be seen wearing Alex Woo’s Lucia earrings in several scenes. Annette Bening wore the sparkly diamond Lucia pendant in the film The Women.

Fall TV: Gossip Girl Season 3

Alex Woo Little Big Vegas Spade

Gossip Girl returns this fall and it looks to be more delicious than ever! Premiering September 14th, the show follows the Upper East Siders to college and Blair, Dan, Georgina and Vanessa are all enrolled in NYU while Serena goes to Brown. Chuck runs his family’s business and Nate goes to Columbia University. As one of the big winners at the 11th annual Teen Choice Awards last month, Leighton Meester and Chace Crawford won Choice TV Drama Actress and Actor respectively while the series itself was voted as the best drama. Ed Westwick even got his share of victory, taking home the Choice Villain category so the show really is as they promote ‘WTF’ – Watch this Fall!

Mary Haines (Meg Ryan) has a rich husband, an adorable 11-year-old daughter, a beautiful country home and a close-knit circle of friends. Her life is perfect…. or so her friends thought. The sweet, happily-wedded Mary finds her marriage in trouble when perfume sales girl Crystal Allen (Eva Mendes) gets her hooks into Mary’s man. Naturally, this situation becomes the hot talk amongst Mary’s socialite friends, especially the scandalmonger Sylvia Fowler (Annette Bening). Set in Manhattan with a band of A-list actresses also including Debra Messing, Jada Pinkett Smith and Candice Bergen, “The Women” is a modern adaptation of Clare Boothe Luce’s 1936 play. Prior to this film by Diane English, the play had been adapted into a feature film by George Cukor in 1939.

Gossip Girl - Season 2 - Never Been Marcused In the second episode of Season 2 on Gossip Girl, Blair returns to her trusted instincts and her Alex Woo Diamond Little Letters B & W.

Every little girl’s dream is to become a princess, so it was to be expected that when Blair sees a chance to become royalty she would seize the opportunity with every chance she can. Drama ensues as a scheming Chuck has other plans for Blair and hew new lord, Marcus (guest star Patrick Heusinger).

Other plot lines include Serena and Dan agreeing to keep their recent hook-ups a secret from their friends and family until they figure out what all this means for their relationship.

The best scenes were definitely those between Blair and her new love’s mom (guest star Madchen Amick). What a catfight!

Good Morning America – Christina Applegate

Good Morning AmericaChristina Applegate August 2008 Actress Christina Applegate gives an exclusive interview to Good Morning America, speaking out for the first time since publicly announcing her breast cancer diagnosis earlier this month. Having watched her mother, Nancy Priddy, battle breast cancer – and then suffer from a recurrence many years later – the Emmy-nominated star of Samantha Who?, 36, told interviewer Robin Roberts that she wasn’t taking any chances, especially since she has the breast cancer gene, BRCA1.

Privately, she admits, “Sometimes I cry. Sometimes I scream, and I get really angry and I get really into wallowing in self-pity sometimes, and I think it’s all part of healing.”

Miley Cyrus – Idol Gives Back

What an incredible phenomenon American Idol is — and what a phenomenal idea it was put it to good use for a star-studded blockbuster charity event meant to entertain millions of people for the sake of helping millions more. Bigger and more ambitious than ever, it was a night of exhilarating performances, unexpected collaborations and heartbreaking presentations showing just who, exactly, those donated dollars would go to help. With a rolodex of celebrities such as Brad Pitt, Robin Williams, Celine Dion, Forrest Whitaker, Fergie, Mariah Carey, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Bono, Reese Witherspoon and many others, the show at the Kodak Theatre in LA raised a whopping $60+ million.

The most anticipated performance of the night came from singer/actress Miley Cyrus. Known for starring as Miley Stewart, “Hannah Montana” on the Disney Channel Original Series, Hannah Montana, she performed a two-song set for the American Idol special and even had a little stand-up comedy sketch with comedian Billy Crystal. Wowing the audience with an energetic performance of “Good and Broken” she also looked stylish for the millions of viewers, by selecting to wear a glittering black-with-white-stars tank top underneath a black jacket with Alex Woo Little Notes and Little Princess jewelry.

Fall TV: Gossip Girl Season 1

Based on the popular book series of the same name by Cecily von Ziegesar, this new drama from the CW gives viewers a peek into the world of privileged teenagers on an elite private school in New York City. Written by The O.C.’s Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, and directed by Mark Piznarski, the series stars Leighton Meester and Blake Lively as Blair and Serena respectively, rich Manhattan rivals at a private school in New York.

Considered one of the hottest new shows, rounding out the fine young cast is Taylor Momsen as Jenny, a freshman from Downtown Soho, who tries to fit in with the wealthy kids from New York’s Upper East side.
