Lucky August 2008America’s ultimate shopping guide and the only magazine all about shopping-trends, tips on where to get the best deals on clothing, home accessories and more, Lucky this month features one of our favorite young actresses.

As Lucky says, she is TV’s best-dressed new star and portrays a supremely put-together Upper East Side private-school girl on the TV hit Gossip Girl. Good Morning America – Christina Applegate

Good Morning AmericaChristina Applegate August 2008Actress Christina Applegate gives an exclusive interview to Good Morning America, speaking out for the first time since publicly announcing her breast cancer diagnosis earlier this month. Having watched her mother, Nancy Priddy, battle breast cancer – and then suffer from a recurrence many years later – the Emmy-nominated star of Samantha Who?, 36, told interviewer Robin Roberts that she wasn’t taking any chances, especially since she has the breast cancer gene, BRCA1.

Privately, she admits, “Sometimes I cry. Sometimes I scream, and I get really angry and I get really into wallowing in self-pity sometimes, and I think it’s all part of healing.”

We support Christina and her decision and all women in the fight against breast cancer. On the show, Christina is wearing Alex Woo’s Open Heart Pendant designed and dedicated to this special cause important to the designer and the Little Letter Question Mark.
