NY Daily News - Girl Scouts program teaches New York City students social entrepreneurship: Budding businesswomen

This July, 51 NYC Girl Scouts were selected to participate in the latest partnership between Barnard's Athena Center for Leadership Studies and the Girl Scouts of Greater New York's Girl Scout Leadership Institute, where they developed ideas for socially responsible businesses and had those ideas evaluated by some of New York's best and brightest women, including our very own Alex Woo! The 10-day Summer Intensive culminated in a Pitchfest, during which each girl presented her idea to a panel staffed by Alex Woo and other established entrepreneurs. The only word that comes to mind? Impressed.
